Frank Joseph Luna, of Whittier, California, passed away at 62 years of age, on February 05, 2022, after suffering with Parkinson's/Dementia, for three years. Frank was born on December 08, 1959, to Jesse Gomez-Luna and Paul Portugal Luna in Lynnwood, California. He grew up in Friendly Hills, Whittier, and graduated from high school at California High in 1977. He went to work with his father at Mobil Oil Corporation, starting as an automotive mechanic. He later promoted to a Diesel Truck Mechanic, and after graduating from Hope International University, he was promoted to the position of Fleet Manager at Mobil Oil.
After retiring he traveled many places, took care of his parents until their passing, volunteered at Grace Evangelical Free Church food bank, many times a week. He achieved a Black Belt in Karate. Among many ways he extended fellowship to friends and family, was by preparing delicious meals in his home, followed by campfires in his backyard. Frank also conducted bible studies, and mentored young men, planting the word of God.
He loved gardening, cooking, traveling, volunteering, and serving the Lord.
As an animal lover, he made many donations on behalf of needy dogs and cats of Seal Beach Animal Care, where he adopted all his lovingly cared for pets.
He crowned his lifetime of generosity with a final gift of charity to Choc Hospital, because of his enduring love and compassion for children.
