Frank Ashford was born on January 14, 1939 in Arizona. After serving in the Army he settled down in Pico Rivera, California where he lived for the majority of his adult life and maintained a career at Sears for many years. This was also where he met Nellie Blanco who many years later became his wife.
Frank had two daughters, Carol and Gina. Franks favorite hobbies included going to Las Vegas for a gambling trip, listening to the stock exchange or political radio, family gatherings and of course, watching horseracing, baseball, basketball or football while drinking a Corona.
On September 1, 2013 at his home in Pico Rivera, Frank went home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie, his two daughters, Carol Ramos and Gina Blanco, his 10 grandchildren: Robert Urzua, Stefanie Ramos, Jeffrey Rosas, Raymond Blanco, Martin Garcia, David Ramos, David Reyes, Manuel Reyes, Ruben Reyes and Gina P. Reyes, 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.
We lost a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather who took care of all of us. He will always be in our hearts. He is now with the Lord in peace. Stefanie Ramos
