Dr. Frank J. Alderete was born in Riverside California on May 21, 1942. He died at 80 years old in Whittier California on May 8th, 2023 after a four year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Dr. A (as he was affectionately called) was a native of Southern California and was a born educator. He taught from all venues of education. From the White House as a special assistant to the Commissioner of Education and liaison in the U S office of Education.
Dr. Alderete has a degree in Sociology from Cal Western University in San Diego, he earned his master's degree in education from the University of California, and his doctorate in education administration from Union Graduate School, Antioch University.
He used his education to help others. He taught at East Los Angeles College for 33 years in Business and Marketing. He excelled when there were challenges as his mind was a chessboard, and he was a strategist always moving a few moves ahead.
He is survived by his wife Pat, his son Andres and wife Ericka, step-son Gabriel and wife Lorena and six grandchildren; Serena, Gabe Jr, Adrienne, Eli, Paul, Matthew Ruben and family, and friends too numerous to mention.
Celebration of Life services will be held at White Emerson Mortuary, Whittier California.
