El Senor Francisco G. Salinas naci el 6 de Junio de 1929, en Los ngeles, California, a sus padres Rafael Salinas del Ro y Flora Guzmn de Salinas. Falleci el 13 de julio de 2018 a las 5:30 a.m. en su residencia en la ciudad de Norwalk, California, a la edad de 89 aos.

"Pancho", como lo conocan cariosamente sus padres y hermanos, creci y fue a la escuela en Mxico. Pas un tiempo en la Ciudad de Mxico, Chihuahua, Jurez y Zacatecas antes de regresar a los Estados Unidos y establecerse en El Paso, Texas.

El Seor Salinas sirvi honorablemente como US Marine durante la guerra de Korea. El trmino su servicio con los Marines el 23 de Octubre de 1957, y luego regres a El Paso.

Mientras estaba en El Paso, "Kiko" o "Kikoman" conoci al amor de su vida, Frances Andujo. Se casaron el 31 de Diciembre de 1961 en El Paso y se establecieron all por un corto tiempo antes de mudarse al condado de Los ngeles en California. Su matrimonio fue bendecido con cinco hijos, Josie, Gloria, Rafael, Yvonne y Frank.

El tiempo de Francisco con los Marines tuvo una gran influencia en su carrera profesional. Tuvo la oportunidad de conducir camiones grandes en el servicio y desarroll un amor por hacerlo. Ese amor lo puso al volante de camiones por ms de 65 aos. Pas muchos aos en el camino para otros, pero finalmente se convirti en propietario y operador de Salinas y Son Trucking, "sirviendo al Suroeste con orgullo".

En su tiempo libre, Francisco disfrutaba nadando, surfeando y pescando en el ocano. l tambin tena una pasin por el boxeo y disfrutaba msica, baile, y jugando al pker. Lo ms importante, sin embargo, era su familia. Amaba a su esposa e hijos y adoraba a sus nietos.

Le sobrevive su querida esposa, Frances; nios, Josie Salinas, Gloria (Aaron) Charbonnet, Yvonne Flores, y Frank Salinas; 10 nietos; 7 bisnietos y 3 tataranietos nietos. Su hijo, Rafael, lo precedi en la muerte.

La velacin se realizar de 5 a 9 p.m., el Jueves, 19 de Julio de 2018 en White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. Una vigilia se llevar a cabo durante ese tiempo tambin. La misa se celebrar a las 10 a.m. de la maana siguiente, Viernes, 20 de julio de 2018, en la iglesia de San Vicente de Paul, 621 W. Francisco G. Salinas was born June 6, 1929, in Los Angeles, California, to Rafael Salinas del Rio and Flora Guzman de Salinas. He passed away on July 13, 2018 at 5:30am at his home in Norwalk, California, at the age of 89.

Pancho, as he was affectionately known by his parents and siblings, grew up and went to school in Mexico. He spent time in Mexico City, Chihuahua, Juarez, and Zacatecas before returning to the US and settling in El Paso, Texas.

A proud United States Marine, Francisco served his country honorably during the Korean War. He was discharged on October 23, 1957, and then returned to El Paso.

While in El Paso, Kiko or Kikoman, met the love of his life, Frances Andujo. They were married on December 31, 1961, in El Paso and settled there for a short time before moving to Los Angeles County, California. Their marriage was blessed with five children, Josie, Gloria, Rafael, Yvonne, and Frank.

Franciscos time in the Corp had a great influence on his professional career. He had the opportunity to drive large trucks in the service and developed a love for it. That love put him behind the wheel of big rig for over 65 years. He spent many years on the road for others, but eventually became owner - operator of Salinas and Son Trucking, serving the Southwest with pride!

In his free time, Francisco enjoyed swimming, surfing and fishing in the ocean. He also had a passion for boxing and enjoyed music, dancing, and playing poker. Most important, however, was his family. He loved his wife and children and adored his grandchildren.

He is survived by his dear wife, Frances; children, Josie Salinas, Gloria (Aaron) Charbonnet, Yvonne Flores, and Frank Salinas; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. His son, Rafael, preceded him in death.

Viewing will be held from 5-9pm on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A vigil will be held during that time as well. Mass will be celebrated at 10am the following morning, Friday, July 20, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 621 W. Adams Blvd., Los Angeles, California, with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California.
