Frances Ordaz Olivo's life ended on earth April 10, 2012 at 11:13 am.She is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus, her Savior.Frances was born on March 21, 1926 in Pearsall, Texas to Francisco Rosalio Ordaz and Amada Gomez Ordaz. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas and attended Lanier High School where she met her husband to be, Andres Martinez Olivo. At the age of 17 she accepted the proposal of marriage to Andres, and joined the holy union of matrimony on November 21, 1943. They were marreid for 65 years until he passed away in 2008.They moved to California in 1946 where they raised 6 children, Maria Inez Olivo, Dolores Amada Ybarra, Hope Barrasa, Elizabeth Villalobos, Andres Olivo (now deceased) and Rose Marie Rodriquez. She had 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Before moving to Whittier to live with her daughter Elizabeth in 2006, Frances attended Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in East Los Angeles and served as President of the Senior Citizens Club. She was loved and respected by many. She loved her roses which she planted in her garden and also loved to read. But what was most precious to her was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.She enjoyed having everyone over for the holidays and cooking delicious meals for all her family.She was a beautiful person and will be remembered by many.Visitation will be on Monday, April 16, 2012, beginning at 5:30pm at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E Philadelphia Street, Whittier, CA. This will be followed by a memorial service at 7pm. On the following morning, Tuesday, April 17, 2012, Mass for Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 7215 Newlin Avenue, Whittier, CA., 562-698-0107.Interment will follow the service at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, CA. Enter at Gate 17.
