Florine Victoria Contreras

Florine Victoria Contreras was born on December 17, 1930 in Murphy Ranch to Joseph and Florence (Soto) Contreras. Florine grew up in Los Nietos and went to Los Nietos School when it was a one-room school house. She graduated from Whittier High School in 1948 and then worked as a telephone operator with her aunt Clarinda Soto at Pac Bell.

Florine loved flowers and animals of all kinds, including cats, dogs and birds, and enjoyed painting wooden birdhouses. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Florine is survived by her two children, Joe Webb (Cynthia Snyder) and Gia Valle (Larry), her grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, and Anthony Valle and Cassiopeia Webb, and one great-granddaughter, Melody Rose Valle.
