Faustino C. Bazan (Tino) was born on April 11, 1920 in Chacala, Durango, Mexico to Mr. Faustino Bazan and Mrs. Dolores Carrillo. He grew up in Tucson, Arizona but traveled to Mexico quite frequently where he met his wife, Godeleba. Tino worked in the United States and Godeleba remained in Mexico with two daughters, Maria and Elsa. The long-distance relationship was very challenging; in 1966 the family was reunited in the States and settled quite nicely in Pico Rivera, California. In 1968 there was an addition to the family; a son, John, was born. Soon after his birth the family moved to Bell Gardens, California and lived there for over forty years.Tino was a quiet man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren tremendously, quite often he would entertain them with a game of hide and seek and/or hopscotch, his favorite childhood games. He lived a quiet, simple life surrounded by his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.Have Thine own way, Lord!Have Thine own way!Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.Mold me and make me after Thy will,While I am waiting, yielded and still. -Adelaide Pollard Mr. Bazan is survived by his chidren, Elsa Castanon, Maria Avena, and John Bazan; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.Viewing will take place from 12:00 noon until 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E.
