Evelyn F. Tucker

Whittier - Evelyn Tucker, 91, a retired school teacher, PIH Volunteer, Beta Sigma Phi Auxiliary Member, active church member, and senior center leader, passed away comfortably in her sleep at UCI Medical Center Hospital in Anaheim on Saturday, August 11, 2012.Evelyn is survived by her daughter; Sue (John) Alexander, grandchildren; Johnny (Gloria) Alexander, Stacy (Ian) Velasquez, Jason (Jen) Tucker, Brandon (Corey) Tucker who are expecting 'Baby Coen' in September, and great grandchildren; Danica, Dylan, Jessalyn and 'Baby Coen'.A private burial was held at Olive Lawn Memorial Park in La Mirada on August 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Those present at the service included: her daughter; Sue (John) Alexander, granddaughter; Stacy Velasquez, grandsons; Johnny (Gloria) Alexander, Jason (Jen) Tucker, and Brandon (Corey) Tucker who are expecting their first child, 'Baby Coen,' in September. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Guy Tucker (1954) and mother Jeanette 'Jenny' Groetsch Fisher. Evelyn was buried next to her son; Gregory Tucker, sister; Violet Giddings, and aunt; Marion Anderson.Evelyn will be greatly missed by every single person whose life she ever touched with love and kindness.
