Eunice Adele Manning was born on August 17, 1918 to Emanuel and Selma Mechanic Fink in Los Angeles, California. Eunice was raised and attended school in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Hollywood High school. After her high school, she attended Los Angeles City College.
Eunice married Samuel H. Guye in 1941. Several years after the war ended Eunice and Samuel moved their family to Whittier which became Eunices home for many years. Professionally, Eunice worked at North American Rockwell until her retirement in 1981. In 1957, Samuel and Eunice divorced and a few years later in 1962, Eunice married her second husband, Herbert E. Manning (3/9/29 to 5/23/1996). Eunice was the proud mother of four children, Samuel, Diane, Dale and Randall.
In the mid 1980's she relocated to San Jacinto, California where she joined Faith Community Church. Her work, friendships, and most importantly her love of God and His presence in her life gave her great joy and purpose in her later years. She quietly went about her days helping where she could. On any Wednesday, for more than 20 years, you would find her at the church typing, printing, and folding the weekly bulletin preparing for Sunday service.
On January 25, 2015 Eunice, fondly known as Little Grandma, passed away in Cypress, California. She is survived by her children; Samuel H. Guye (Gloria) Diane M. Sanchez (Dan) Dale G. Manning (Julie) Randall Lee Manning (Nov 4th -1947-June 4th 2002): 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Mom was faithful in the little things, never needing or wanting the spotlight. She is remembered fondly and missed by all of those who knew her, and most of all by her family. We are comforted by the thought that she is in the arms of our precious savior.
For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
