Esmeralda Rodriguez, lovingly known as Esme, has left a lasting mark on the lives of her family, friends, and community. Born on December 11, 1976, in Whittier, CA, Esmeralda passed away on August 13, 2023, in Whittier, CA. Esmeralda was born and raised in Whittier, CA, she attended Whittier High School and proudly graduated in 1995. Furthering her education at Cerritos College in Norwalk allowed her to gain valuable knowledge and skills that she would later utilize throughout her professional journey.
Esmeralda's strength and dedication were evident throughout her career as an Administrator at a Group Home. Esme approached every aspect of her work with diligence and genuine concern for those under her care. As a nurturing figure in the Group Home, she provided stability and support to those who needed it most. Esme's impact in this role will forever be remembered by the individuals whose lives she touched.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Esmeralda had a variety of interests that enriched her life. She was an avid sports fan who had an unwavering love for the Dodgers and Kobe Bryant. Watching their games brought her immense joy and excitement. Additionally, Esme loved Halloween movies and eagerly anticipated the arrival of each October to indulge in newly released movies, and past favorites.
One aspect that brought great fulfillment to Esmeralda was being a "team mom" for her children's sports teams. She embraced this role wholeheartedly, providing encouragement and support both on and off the field. Esme's commitment to her children and their activities showcased her love and unwavering dedication as a mother. Her impact as a guiding presence will forever resonate with her children.
Esmeralda leaves behind a long-time partner, Kenneth Oliva, whose love, and support brought joy to Esme's life. Her children, Gabriel, Marlene, Orion and Nikolas, whom she dedicated her life to, guiding and also coaching them on and off the field. Her love and smile lives on in the children she leaves with us. Her father, Rodolfo Rodriguez, will forever hold her memory close to his heart. Esme's siblings, Johanna, Sonya, Rodolfo Jr., and Fernando, grieve the loss of their beloved sister but find solace in the memories they shared together. Esme's mother, Martha Rodriguez, precedes her in death but her loving presence and influence remain alive within the hearts of those who knew her.
To honor Esmeralda's life and bids farewell to a cherished soul, visitation and reception services will be held at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier on September 7, 2023 from 5:30PM – 8:00PM. A funeral service will also take place at White Emerson Mortuary on September 8th at 10:00 AM. A burial service is scheduled for September 8th at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier following the funeral service at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Esmeralda Rodriguez is survived by her children, partner, loved ones, and all those she touched throughout her life. As we bid farewell to Esme, let us cherish the memories she left behind and be inspired by the way she lived with compassion, resilience, and a determined spirit. May her soul find eternal peace as we carry her memory in our hearts forever.
