Enriqueta Diaz De Leon

Enriqueta Diaz De Leon, 50, passed away in Montebello, California on April 19, 2017. Born on January 23, 1967, Enriqueta was born in Chicago, Illinois. She was a loving wife to her husband, Miguel A. Olvera, and a loving mother to her children. She will be deeply missed.
As a child, Enriqueta grew up in Chicago, but as a girl moved to Guanajuato, Mexico. She attended school in Mexico before graduating from high school in Irapuato, Guanajuato. She was married to her husband, Miguel, in the church while living in Mexico. Later on, after she and Miguel moved to southern California, they received an official declaration of marriage through the court system in Norwalk, California. For many years, Enriqueta worked in the East Whittier School District as an Instructional Assistant. She was loved by so many teachers and students. She was always thinking of how she could help her students at school.
Enriqueta had many things she enjoyed. She loved Chinese food and ramen noodles. She also enjoyed going to the movies and concerts. She was involved at St. Brunos Catholic Church in Whittier for quite some time, and made her faith a priority in her life. Enriqueta always worked hard to make everyone in her life happy.
Enriqueta is survived by her husband, Miguel A. Olvera, Sr. and her son, Miguel A. Olvera, Jr. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Maria Lupe Diaz De Leon.
A Vigil will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 7:00pm at St. Brunos Catholic Church, Whittier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:30am at St. Brunos Catholic Church.
