Elver had a deep passion for his profession and took great pride in transforming hairstyles. His barbershop was not simply a place for haircuts; it was a sanctuary where stories were shared and friendships were forged. Outside the barbershop, Elver found joy in various pursuits. He enjoyed cutting hair so much that it became both his career and his hobby. Elver had an unwavering commitment to his family, who meant everything to him. He is survived by his loving wife Patty Aguayo-Sazo (aka "Macha"), three sons, three daughters, and five cherished grandchildren. Their bond was one of pure love and support that brought light into Elver's life every day. His warmth radiated through every interaction with them, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.
While Elver may have been known as "Grumpy" to some, those closest to him recognized the tenderness beneath that moniker. He possessed a unique ability to bring smiles to people's faces even on their hardest days. His genuine care for others extended beyond his professional role; he was always ready with open ears for anyone seeking comfort or guidance.
In celebration of Elver's life, a Mass will be held on February 1, 2024, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Whittier, California. The service will commence at 10:30 a.m., providing an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to pay their respects and honor the impact Elver had on their lives. Following the Mass, a Graveside Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. at Rose Hills in Whittier, concluding the formal ceremonies surrounded by the peaceful beauty of nature.
