Eladio Amezquita, 36, passed away on August 22, 2015 in Cabazon, California. Born in Huntington Park on May 20, 1979, Eladio was born to his parents Felizardo & Flora (Zavala) Amezquita. He was the proud father of two children, Logan & Leah. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Eladio grew up in the greater Los Angeles area. He lived in Huntington Park, South Gate & Downey, and graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1997. Immediately after graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served for nearly 14 years. Eladio spent most of his enlistment as a Seabee, assigned to the naval construction battalions at Port Hueneme, California. It was during his service that he met his wife, Ivonne, whom he was married to in 2007. In his own words, Eladio said, I joined the Navy not for the benefitsbut to see the world. He travelled to many places and lived many experiences before leaving the service in 2012.
After his career in the military, Eladio went to work in the telecommunications industry. He loved technology and also had a great interest in cars. Most of all, Eladio loved his familyspecifically his children.
Elado is survived by his son, Logan; daughter, Leah; parents, Felizardo & Flora Amezquita; brothers, Felizardo Jr., Enrique, Joaquin, Kevin; sister, Luz; spouse, Ivonne; and many other family members and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday evening, September 3, 2015 at 7:00PM at White Emerson Mortuary, Whittier. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00PM 7:00PM. Interment will take place the following day at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside.
