Eileen Rodriguez

Eileen Rodriguez was born August 8, 1966 in Montebello, California. She passed away November 19, 2012 in Whittier, California at the age of 46.



Eileen grew up in Pico Rivera, California. While in her teens, she moved to Buena Park, California where she graduated from Gilbert High School.



On April 26, 1986, Eileen married Larry Rodriguez at St. Hillary Church of Perpetual Adoration in Pico Rivera, California. They made their home in Pico Rivera and Whittier over the years and raised four children. Family was most important to Eileen. She loved her children very much, and she was always very active in their lives--from PTA President to attendance at all their athletic events. She equally loved her grandchildren.



Eileen is remembered as a very caring and giving person who always had a positive attitude. She was also strong-willed--stubborn you might say--and always stood her ground. Another special memory is her love of Coca-Cola. It is unlikely that her family will ever drink a Coke again without thinking of Eileen.



Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her life-long love, Larry Rodriguez; children, Brandon, Ashley, and twins, Andrew and Christopher; mother, Betty (Mike) Matillo; father, Art (Rosalie) Lerma; sisters, Lorraine Jones and Valerie Lerma; brother, Art 'Archie' Lerma; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Larry R. Rodriguez, Jr.



A viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A vigil will immediately follow at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am the following morning, Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at St. Hilary Church of Perpetual Adoration, 5465 Citronell Avenue, Pico Rivera, California. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, California.
