Dorothy Howington Lehosky

Dorothy H. Lehosky, 84, of La Mirada, CA went home to be with her Lord on Dec. 12, 2013. She was born in Atlanta, GA. After her marriage to James Lehosky she moved to Ohio. She moved to CA in 1962 where she remained for the rest of her life.



Dorothy had a zest for life. She loved taking her children on camping trips and Saturday trips to Laguna Beach. She was very active in the Phi Tau Omega Sorority. She had many jobs through the years, which included roasting peanuts for a Planters Peanut Store, working in various dress shops, and doing secretarial jobs, the last being Fluor Corporation. She was an active member of Granada Heights Friends Church, volunteering in the church office, participating in Womens Missionary Fellowship and being part of the Friendship class. She enjoyed crocheting, scrapbooking and going out to eat with her friends.



Dorothy will be missed by her children, Susan Walker and husband Roger, Stephen Lehosky and wife Christa Martel, Sharon Cannon and husband Brian; grandchildren, Chris and Lainey Walker, Lara Lehosky Batten, Leah Lehosky Berkemeier and Jefferson Cannon; great-grandchildren, Liam Walker and James Berkemeier; nieces Callie Whidby, Vicki Gray, Bonnie Smith, Elaine Foust and Jackie Stokes; nephew, Monroe Smith and all of her precious friends.



Her life will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2:00 p.m. at Granada Heights Friends Church, 11818 La Mirada Blvd, La Mirada, CA.
