Dorothy Elaine Walters (formerly Cheever) was born on March 7, 1922 in Valparaiso, Nebraska to Lawrence E. and Eva A. Cheever. Dorothy lived in Valparaiso, Nebraska until graduating high school and then, due to the depression and drought, moved to California with her parents.
In 1941, Dorothy married Hugo W. Seeger. In 1967 she married John Walters and was widowed a few short years later in 1971. Dorothy had two daughters and two sons; Kathy, Shirley, Greg, and David.
Dorothy lived most of her life in Whittier, California. Professionally, she worked as the supervisor of data entry for American Savings. She also belonged to the Montebello Womans Club and attended Grace Baptist Church.
Her other interests included elephantsand more elephants! She also collected wolves and carousel horses. Dorothy enjoyed many special activities with her children; these activities included traveling internationally and extensively within the U.S. with David and Kathy, riding motorcycles with Greg and eating Shirleys spaghetti.
On March 6, 2016 at her home in Whittier, at the age of 93, Dorothy went home to be with the Lord. She is survived and missed by her four children: Kathy Lindquist, Shirley Seeger, Greg Seeger and David Lindquist, her granddaughters: Aerianna Mendoza and Angela Perkins and her great grandchildren Cayden, Samuel, Ethan, Gabrielle and Grace.
