Doria Noemi Benitez

Doria Noemi Benitez was born on June 30, 1960 in El Salvador. She and her five siblings were raised in El Salvador until coming to California in the early 1980s. Doria raised three children, David, Doris and Cinthia.



Doria opened and owned a store which sold kitchen products. This was her pride and joy. All her customers loved her and knew her by Lolita.



About six years ago, Doria married her soul mate Sergio Benitez. The couple enjoyed dancing together, especially to cumbia music. Doria is described by her children as always happy, a hard worker and very positive.



On Friday, August 23, 2013, Doria passed away in Los Angeles, California. She is survived by her husband, Sergio, her three children David Ortiz, Doris Escobedo, Cinthia Cruz, her granddaughter Emily Escobedo, her six siblings, Carlos, Yolanda, Manuel, Reynaldo, Vesy, Yanira, and many dear friends.



Services will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 5:00pm and Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00am followed by the burial at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
