Donald Walter Schmahl

Donald Schmahl was born on April 3, 1957 and passed away on Sept. 7, 2018 in Bellflower, CA. He is the son of Edward and Katherine Schmahl of Downey.

Don attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School in Downey and Don Bosco High School in Rosemead. He graduated with an AA degree in Building Technology from Don Bosco in 1976. Don earned his contractors license and enjoyed building spec homes in Hesperia. He lived most of his adult life at Founders House of Hope in Artesia.

He is survived by his four siblings, Marianne Woodward of Sonora, California, David Schmahl of Escondido, California, Larry Schmahl of Whittier, California, and Ken Schmahl of Scotts Valley, California.

A Rosary will be led at 9am on October 22, 2018, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., in Whittier, California, followed by a Memorial Prayer Service at 10am.
