David Levi Lopez

David Levi Lopez, 43, passed away from this earthly realm into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 22, 2021 in Whittier, California. David's passing was sudden and unexpected as his health gave way over the final weeks of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn, and his many family members and friends. David's loss echoes throughout his community, as he was larger than life.
Born on May 27, 1978 in Los Angeles, California, David was born to his parents, Jose De Jesus Lopez and Estela Guillen de Gomez. He was raised in the Montebello area, attending Vail High School. He was an adventurous spirit, living all over North America in California, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and even Mexico. His passion was music. He loved writing, teaching and especially playing music. His natural aptitude for playing any instrument he picked up was unlike anything you could possibly imagine. He utilized his passion for music as he served in his church fellowship, Mosaic South Pasadena. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his wife; Carolyn, his parents; Jose & Estela Lopez, and his six brother and three sisters.
A Farewell Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00am at Mosaic South Pasadena, 1023 Fair Oaks Ave., South Pasadena, CA 91030. A viewing will be held immediately prior to the ceremony at 9:00am at the church. Interment will follow the ceremony at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA 90601.
