Daniel John Bourbeau, Jr. was born on March 2, 1984 in Torrance, California to Daniel and Melinda (Qualls) Bourbeau. He passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 in Whittier, California. Daniel was a loving, compassionate, and caring individual from the time he was a child on into adulthood. On January 30, 1988, Daniel's brother Joseph was born. From that time, the two of them were in separable. Daniel attended Mark Twain Elementary in Gardena , California starting in 1989. On June 27,1995 the family moved to La Mirada, California. He continued his education there at Benton Middle School and then went to La Mirada High School graduating from both schools with High Honors. He also received a Certificate of Life Membership California Scholarship Federation June 19, 2002. A highlight for Daniel was serving as President for the Fishing Club at La Mirada High School for all 4 years. His brother took over the club when Daniel graduated from High School. Following High School, Daniel continued his education by attending Cal Ploy University in Pomona for Engineering. He changed his major after 3 years to Business Management and graduated in 2008 with his Bachelor's Degree. In 2001, Daniel was baptized at Grace Evangelical Free Church in La Mirada, California.Due to his love for animals, Daniel continued to work for Pet Smart in the animal department. Growing up he had many different animals and took care of them well. His dream was to start his own business.Daniel loved fishing , camping, target shooting, playing football, baseball, basketball and working out with his brother, cousins and friends. He also enjoyed poker and Texas Holdem. Trips to Las Vegas with his brother, cousins and friends were also a highlight for Daniel. He enjoyed family gatherings on holidays and birthdays, and he would light up the parties with his laughter. Daniel loved sports and his favorite sports teams were the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco 49ER'S, Los Angeles Lakers, Boxing, and Wrestling. His favorite past time included playing XBOX 360 on line with cousins and friends. He also had a passion for collecting baseball and football cards along with collectable players. Additionally, he collected music, movies, old rifles and books. He loved to read.Daniel is survived by his parents, Daniel & Melinda Bourbeau; brother, Joseph; God children, Lisset and Layla Figueroa; aunts and uncles, Lucinda Wilson, Jack and Sherri Qualls, Shannon and Dalene Qualls, Artemio and Julie Castillo, Sandra Arballo, Jesus and Judy Lopez, David and Nancy Bourbeau, Bert and Shirley Ferret; 33 first cousins; and 23 Second Cousins.
