Cynthia 'Cindy' Louise Martinez, 40, was born March 15, 1973, in Lynwood, California, to Ray and Linda Ovalle. She passed away suddenly on May 26, 2013, in San Jacinto, California.
Cindy grew up and went to school in Santa Fe Springs. She attend St. Pius X Elementary School before transferring to Santa Fe Springs High School where she graduated.
On December 24, 2010, Cindy married Anthony Martinez in Norwalk, California. They made their home in San Jacinto, California until the time of her death.
For the past 15 years, Cindy worked as a Pharmacy Assistant. She enjoyed her work and those she worked with. Reading, listening to music, dancing and being outdoors were among Cindy's favorite pastimes. However, she loved being surrounded by family most of all.
Cindy will be remembered as a fun, 'bubbly' person who was always smiling. She was affectionate and full of love to all, but especially to her family and her goddaughter Zoe.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony Martinez; sons, Joseph and Raymond Ovalle; step-daughters, Jessica, Veronica, Dominique, Miranda, and Desirae; parents, Ray and Linda Ovalle; siblings, Michael, Victor and Christina Ovalle; grandparents, Jenny and Bernardo Sotelo; step-grandchildren, Daniel and Isaiah Fierros; mother-in-law, Dorothy Martinez; and father-in-law, Antonio Martinez.
Viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Monday, June 10, 2013, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A Vigil Service will immediately follow at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am the following, Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at St. Pius X Church, 10855 Pioneer Blvd., Santa Fe Springs, California 90670.
