Cathy Joe Collum

Cathy Joe Collum was born January 28, 1952 in California to Bobby Joe and Peggey Jean (Hart) Norred. She passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, in Whittier, California, at the age of 61.



Cathy grew up and went to school in La Mirada, California. She took great care of her siblings and had a number of dear friends growing. She was a cheerleader at Neff High School, where she graduated from.



In 1973 she married Reuben Collum in La Mirada, and they remained there to raise their two daughters, Stephanie and Kimberly. Family meant everything to Cathy. She most enjoyed being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was very loving and kind and will be sorely missed.



Cathy is survived by her children, Stephanie (Jose) Torres, and Kimberly Collum; siblings, Michael, Dottie, Mark, Matthew, and Max Norred; and grandchildren, Jessica, Madison, and Christian Torres. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben, in 1995.



Viewing will take place from 11am - 12noon on Friday, January 3, 2014, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A Graveside Service will begin at 1pm that afternoon at Olive Lawn Memorial Park, 13926 S. La Mirada Blvd., La Mirada, California.
