Carlos Husman

Carlos Husman was born on February 21, 1957 in El Salvador and was a long-time resident of Maywood, CA. While growing up in El Salvador, Carlos was a competitive swimmer, enjoyed playing basketball, and had a passion for motorcycles.

He immigrated to United States as a teen, starting in Virginia but eventually migrating to California where he began his life. While living in California, he met the woman who would become his wife, Sonia Mendoza. When they would go on dates, he would pick her up on his motorcycle, which he eventually traded-in for more family friendly vehicles.

Carlos wasn't known to dance, but he was usually the life of most social settings, often telling jokes and stories that would make everyone laugh and feel welcomed. In his community, he was big on civic engagement, often organizing community members in Maywood where he and his wife raised their children. He never hesitated to extend a helping hand to anyone in need, even when he had little to offer, he always seemed to find a way to help those in need.

His children were his pride & joy, he loved his grandchildren and looked forward to joining them on movie dates, park outings and pushing them to grow strong. Carlos is survived by his wife Sonia; his daughters Christina, Betty, Karla, Brenda and Alejandra; his sons Oscar and Alex; and his 12 grandchildren; Kaylee, Issac, Eli, Alyssa, Allison, Jaycob, Jeffs, Jever, Alexander, Leila, Anna and Theodore. Carlos Husman passed away on December 31, 2020, in Covina, California at the age of 63. He will be deeply missed and will forever live in our hearts.
