Calvin K. Hill

Calvin K. Hill was born June 10, 1928 in Lehi, Utah to William and Harriet (Curtis) Hill. He passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 in Lakewood, California.At the age of 6 months, Calvin's family moved to southern California. He grew up and went to school in Los Angeles County, graduating from Roosevelt High School.Calvin married Donna Montgomery on May 25, 1956 in Los Angeles, California at the Los Angeles Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Together they raised 3 children, Kevin, Christopher, and Connie.Family was top priority for Calvin. When possible, he always had one of his children or grandchildren at his side. He was always smiling, and he never got mad.Calvin went to work for Northrup as a young man, and he remained with them for 39 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended the Cypress First Ward.In his spare time, Mr. Hill enjoyed drawing, reading watching soccer, playing solitaire, and watching westerns--especially John Wayne movies.Viewing will take place Friday, April 23, 2010 from 9:00-9:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5151 Orange Ave., Cypress, California.
