Bruce Alan Fredericks was born August 31, 1952, in Whittier, California, to Forest Gordon and Eva Belle (Austin) Fredericks. He passed away September 17, 2015, in Whittier, California, at the age of 63.
Growing up in Whittier, Bruce attended Wallace Wiggins Elementary School and Lowell Intermediate School for special education.
Man or Manny, as he was affectionately known, was very patriotic. He loved anything red, white and blue and greatly enjoyed all the patriotic music and special TV shows for July 4th, Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Other pastimes included reading search word books, tabloids, and going out to eat with family. Though he loved to travel, he was even happier to return home at the end of his journey. He truly loved home.
Bruce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the church songs, Music and the Spoken Word, and the angel Moroni. He was truly a unique, special spirit. Heavenly Father knew it was time to call him home.
Manny is survived by his brother, Stanley B. (Lu) Fredericks; sister, Bonnie (Jim) Shultz; a special nephew, James Chippy Shultz; sister-in-law, Shirley Fredericks; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Clark.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15265 Mulberry Dr., Whittier. Interment will take place at 3pm that afternoon at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
