Beverly Lynne Wren

November 7, 1939 — November 20, 2024

La Mirada, CA

Beverly Lynne Wren, lovingly known as "Bevie," passed away peacefully with her loving family around her on November 20, 2024, in La Mirada, California, at the age of 85. Born on November 7, 1939, in Loma Linda, California, to Arlin Earl Rice, born in Idaho and Anna Madelene Stephenson, born in Ontario, Canada, Beverly grew up in Barstow, CA. where she enjoyed a joyful childhood filled with school, church, and playing Cowboys and Indians with her friends. Her life was forever changed in 1949 with the sudden passing of her beloved father, a loss she carried with her throughout her life.

Beverly attended Inglewood High School and after graduation, briefly attended Brigham Young University before returning to Los Angeles to support her mother. At 19, she met Tracy Stephen, and they married the following year. Together, they had four children: Shelley Lynne Tripp, Randall Tracy Stephen, Sharyl Rae Hess, and Ronald Arlin Stephen. After their divorce in 1967, Beverly met Robert Wren at the Southern California Gas Company in 1971, where they both worked. They married on August 18, 1972, in Las Vegas, saw Elvis live that night, and welcomed their son Christopher Robert Wren the following year on August 22, 1973.

A devoted matriarch, Beverly cherished her family deeply. She adored her children's spouses—David Tripp, Kellie Stephen, Dan Hess, and Danielle Wren—and was a proud grandmother to Holly Lynne Tripp, Jonathan Charles Tripp, Samantha Rae Silva, Elijah Valentine Varela Wren, Walker Christopher Wren, Nolan Robert Wren, and Kinsley Rae Wren. She loved her grandchildren's spouse's and fiancees; Brittney Rose and her daughter Ashlynn, Joslyn Tripp, and Murat Piker. She also delighted in her four great-grandchildren: Jase David Tripp, Jett Jonathan Tripp, Joah Clayton Tripp, and Jessa Shae Tripp.

In retirement, Beverly and Bob enjoyed camping with their beloved "Freewheelers" Club for over 20 years. She found joy in music, cooking shows, recipes, shopping, reading, and time spent with loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CHOC Children's Hospital’s Pediatric Cardiac NICU in Beverly’s honor, a cause near and dear to her heart. We know without a doubt that Grandma Bev has Baby Nolan in her arms right now in Heaven and that brings our family much needed comfort.

If you would like to donate, please do so here: https://raiseup.choc.org/honor/BeverlyLynneWren.

As you know, Bevie was one very special lady, the Matriarch of our family, and she is terribly missed. May the memory of her fun-loving spirit bring comfort to all who knew her.
