Betty S. Klingelhoefer

Betty Klingelhoefer was born November 2, 1925 in Georgia to Hugh and Erma Smith. She passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 in Whittier, California.Betty grew up and went to school in Georgia. It was there that she met and later married George Klingelhoefer on June 26, 1945 in Monroe. They enjoyed nearly 65 years of marriage, during which time they raised their two children, Andy and Cheryl. Mrs. Klingelhoefer enjoyed her membership in the Lions Club and Elks Club, and she spent a fair amount of time volunteering with these clubs. While she was primarily a homemaker, she also worked for a time as a bookkeeper.Betty is survived by her dear husband, George; children, Andy Klingelhoefer and Cheryl Sanchez; grandchildren, Brent Klingelhoefer and Daniel, Amanda, and Michael Sanchez; and great-grandchild Amorette Purnell.A memorial service will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at White Emerson Mortuary, 133304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, California.
