Betty Lou Cauley passed away on August 20, 2022 in Whittier, California at the age of 74. She
was born on May 11, 1948 in Whittier, California, the third of Homer and LaMoina (Bourg)
Halte's five children. She was a lifelong resident of Whittier, California, and graduated from
Whittier High School Class of 1966.

Betty married James (Bud) Cauley on July 21, 1969 in Oahu, Hawaii, and the island of Maui
remained a special place in their life together. They raised two sons, Kenny and Cary (Bubba).
The time spent with their children, grandchildren, her siblings, extended family and abundance
of friends was precious to her.

Betty loved to dance, sing, attend bible study, listen to music, play Bunco, and, most of all,
laugh. Betty was a passionate volunteer with many service organizations within her community:
WAC, WHS Alumni, Womens' Guild of St. Bruno's Catholic Church, WPCC, and YLFC
Childrens' Ministries. She was an instructor with Marilyn Grant's Dancerobics for 40 years and
a founding member of the annual Pounds Avenue Fourth of July Block Party.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Linda. She is survived by her
husband of 53 years, Bud; sons, Ken (Krisha), and Cary (Christina), stepdaughter, Cheryl
(Russ) Williams; brothers, Don (Barbi), John (Jackie), and sister, Rosanne Halte Santoro;
grandchildren, Kira, Kennadi, Kaitlin, Kamden, and Lowe Cauley, Hannah (Paul) Sheats,
Kimberly Williams and Bryan (Ashley) Deger; 3 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews;
and a large extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Yorba Linda Friends
Church Chapel, 5211 Lakeview Avenue, Yorba Linda, California, with a light reception
immediately following. A private interment at Riverside National Cemetery will take place at a
later date.
