Betty Casillas was born February 16, 1937 to Isaac and Corinne (Dutchover) Lyles in Los Angeles. She married Johnny Casillas on June 15, 1957. Betty raised her three children and helped to take care of her five grandchildren at her home of 57 years in Pico Rivera. She had several different occupations in her lifetime, but her favorite was selling shoes at Whittwood Shoes. She was always the top salesperson of the day.



Betty attended Cottonwood Christian Center and the cancer support group from Calvary Chapel in Montebello. Betty was devout in her faith and a prayer warrior for her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She was also unsurpassed at getting the best deals when shopping. She had a special gift for decorating and loved to decorate her home. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends.



Betty went to her eternal home on December 31, 2016, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Johnny; her children, Sally Goddard, John Casillas and Susie Lamberty; her grandchildren, Brandon Lamberty, Nicole (Lamberty) and Tyson Mathias, Casandra Casillas, Kelsey Casillas and Elizabeth Rose Goddard; and two greatgrandchildren, Nixon and Dylan Mathias.



She leaves behind many close friends and family who will cherish her memory. We look forward to the day when we see her again.
