Betty Ann Gensler, 84, passed away on February 23, 2013 at her home in Buena Park, California. Betty was born on February 16, 1929 in Los Angeles, California. Betty was first married to Charles Frilot, and then later she married George Gensler. Betty had four children from her marriage to Charles Frilot; Carol, Charles, Deborah & Anthony.
Betty grew up in Los Angeles. She graduated from South Gate High night school and spent many years involved in the community. She was active in many community events, including being a member of the Horticulture Club of South Gate, but nothing rivaled her devotion to being a crossing guard for the city. She was undeniably dedicated to her public service in helping people as a crossing guard; she was even honored by having a story written about her in the South Gate Press for her civil service. Among other interests, she enjoyed flowers, animals of all shapes and sizes, and she even had a knack for writing childrens stories.
In 1987, Betty moved to Vancouver, Washington with her husband George where they lived for over 20 years. After Georges passing, Betty moved back to southern California in 2010.
Betty is survived by her four children; Carol Fitch (Buda, Texas), Charles Frilot (San Luis Obispo, California), Deborah Roberson (La Habra Heights, California), and Anthony Frilot (Latrobe, Pennsylvania). She had 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. Betty is preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles Frilot (deceased 2008) and George Gensler (deceased 2009).
