Arthur Raul Flores

Arthur 'Arturo' Raul Flores was born in Los Angeles, California on December 3, 1938 to parents Jose and Severa Flores. He grew up in Los Angeles until 1949 when his family moved to Pico Rivera. He attended Palos Verde Elementary, Montebello Gardens Primary School, Fremont Middle School, and Montebello High School. In 1978 he moved from Pico Rivera to Whittier, then to Diamond Bar in 1992, and finally returning to Whittier in 1995. On January 30, 1960 Arturo married Estella Flores, a marriage that lasted until her death on August 13, 1994. On May 25, 1996 he married Eileen Wilson, to whom he remained married until his death.Arturo worked for the United Auto Workers Union (UAW). He took pleasure in golfing, camping, fishing, traveling, boating. Arturo also enjoyed many sports, especially baseball, basketball, football, and track & field.Mr. Flores passed away in Whittier, California on January 24, 2011 and is survived by his wife Eileen Flores. He is also survived by sons Arthur Flores and Brian Wilson, and daughters Pauline Beatly, Lynne Castro, Kelly Gibson, and Shelly Wilson. Arturo is also survived by grandchildren Christi Castro, Amanda Castro, Bridget Castro, Jeremy Flores, KeAnna Flores, Ashlynn Wilson, and Autumn Wilson as well as his great grand-daughter Alanna Edwards.
