Arlene J. Gunter was born in Sterling, Kansas on June 15, 1923 to Harold and Velma (Clark) Potter. She passed away August 4, 2010 in Pico Rivera, California.Arlene grew up and went to school in Sterling, Kansas. On November 18, 1943, during World War II, she married Arlis A. Gunter. They moved to Grants Pass, Oregon before making their home in California.Mrs. Gunter was an avid quilt maker and seamstress. She also loved to read and do word searches. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Pico Rivera.Arlene is survived by her 3 children, Jana Johnson, Greg Gunter, and Jeff Gunter; brothers, Kaye and Lynn Potter; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband.
