Arelys Marina Pagliuca-Matus

Arelys Marina (Matus) Pagliuca, 38, passed away unexpectedly in Whittier, California on June 30, 2016. Born on April 11, 1978 in Nicaragua, Arelys was born to her parents, Plutarco & Luz (Torres) Matus. She was married to Santino W. Pagliuca on February 15, 2003 and together they had three children. She is greatly missed by her friends and family.



Arelys Ali grew up in Norwalk where she attended St. John of God Catholic Church. Her family would eventually move to Whittier where she attended St. Paul High School. In 2005, she moved to Arizona to raise her children. In 2015, she moved back to Whittier to be close to her family. She loved cooking, dance (Zumba), and working out. However, nothing meant more to her than her family and friends.



She is survived by her children, Santino Alejandro Pagliuca, Isabella Marina Pagliuca and Alyna Rose Pagliuca; her father, Plutarco T. Matus; and siblings, Michelle Elizabeth De La Cruz & Alyssa Necole Vargas.



A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:00am at the College Avenue Nazarene Church in Whittier. An evening visitation will be held the night before, Tuesday, July 12, 2016, from 5:00pm 9:00pm at White Emerson Mortuary, Whittier.
