Anna M. Reyna Garcia was born on November 7, 1949 in Los Angeles, California to Gilbert and Mary (Fernandez) Reyna. Anna was raised in Los Angeles, California and moved to Watts where she attended 102 School before graduating from Jordan High School.

When Anna was 13, she met Roy Garcia, Jr. The two began dating and were married when Anna was 17. The couple had three children: Elizabeth, Roy and Joseph. In 1986, Roy and Anna were remarried by the Church.

After beginning her family, Anna went back to school and obtained her GED. She continued in her education and was able to secure work in the medical field which helped her pursue her joy of helping people. Her final job in the medical field was in the hospice industry.

Outside of work and her family, Anna was devoted to her church and her faith. In Annas life, God always came first. She served as a Eucharistic minister with Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Los Nietos. She was gifted in visiting and ministering to the sick. Her other interests included cake decorating and enjoying her grandchildren.

On June 11, 2017 at the age of 67, Anna went home to be with the Lord. She is survived by her three children: Elizabeth (Joey) Garcia Vizcarra Rivera, Roy Garcia III, Joseph (Irene) Garcia, her 8 grandchildren: Annmarie, Andrew, Robin, Rebecca, Jacquelyn, Joseph Jr., Selena and Mason, her aunt, Marcelina Chavez, and her two sisters: Faye Perez and Janette Alvarez. She is preceded in death by her parents: Gilbert and Mary (Fernandez) Reyna and her two sisters: Carol Reyna Martinez and Alice Reyna Torres.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 5:00-7:00pm with a Vigil service at 7:00pm at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, California. A Mass will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 11:15am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Whittier, California. Services will conclude at St. Mary of the Assumption, there will be no graveside service. Due to this, the family requests living plants in lieu of flower sprays.
