Anna Buffone

Anna Buffone was born September 2, 1916, in Carteret, New Jersey to Emory and Anna (Opina) Boynak. She passed away on May 12, 2011 in Whittier, California.Anna grew up in Sagamore, Pennsylvania as the family moved there prior to her first birthday. She attended school in Sagamore,and after her marriage, moved to Beyer, Pennsylvania.While living in Beyer, Pennsylvania, Anna was a homemaker busy raising two daughters and one son. In Novmber of 1954, at the age of 39, Anna moved to Whittier, Califorinia where she continued to be a homemaker and also a seamstress at Catalina Swim Wear Company.She then worked for Hughes Aircraft assembling parts for aircraft. She was eventually promoted to the position of Inspector for Hughes Aircraft.Her interests were her family and politics. And her hobbies included bingo, crafts, bead class stringing of pearls and beads.Anna was involved at St. Gregory's Church, the Women's Club Rural Valley, St Bruno's Seniors Club, St. Gregory Seniors Clulb. Parnell Park Seniors, La Habra Seniors and the Gem Society.Mrs. Buffone is survived by her children, Betty Watts, Virginia Kenaley and Louis Buffone; siblings Margie Garrison, Paula Kiger, Steve Boynak, along with 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.Viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E Philadelphia Street, Whittier, California. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at St. Gregory the Great Church, 13935 Telegraph Road, Whittier, California, at 10 a.m.Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
