Amelia L. Marquez

Amelia L. 'Molly' Marquez was born on February 14, 1921 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents Ramon and Eloisa Lopez. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona. On December 24, 1944 she married Eugene V. Marquez. Together they raised five children, three sons and two daughters. As a homemaker, Amelia was often the taxi mom who would take the kids to their functions. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially cooking and baking for them. Amelia was also an active member of St. Bruno's Catholic Church in Whittier, California.Amelia Marquez passed away on February 16, 2011 in Hesperia, California. She is predeceased by her husband and second youngest son, Daniel Marquez. She is survived by her son's Eugene G. Marquez and David Marquez and her daughters Virginia I. Apodaca and Diane Marquez. She is also survived by 9 grandkids and 13 great-grandkids.A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. in the chapel at White-Emerson Mortuary. On the following day, Thursday February 24, 2011, a funeral mass will be held at St. Bruno's Catholic Church at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello.
