Allie Mae Barton passed away at the age of 103 on February 10, 2012 in Fullerton, California. Born on August 16, 1908, Allie was born to Charles E. Davis & Bessie J. Davis (Wallace) in Houston, Missouri. She was raised in Houston, Missouri and graduated from Houston High School in 1926. She went on to earn her teaching certificate and taught school for 2 years. In 1929 she was married to Jason E. Barton, they were married in Houston, Missouri.After being married to her high-school sweetheart, Jason E. Barton, a civil engineer, they lived in Colorado, California, Montana, Maryland, and retired in Arizona. Allie was a proud mother and a homemaker; she loved travelling and camping, and also took up painting in her retirement. She was a lifelong Baptist and a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.Allie Barton is survived by her daughters, Audrey Grand & Mary Jane Vernon; her son-in-law, Kenneth Vernon; grandchildren Pamela (Michael) Watanabe, Gene (Teresa) Grand, David Grand, Andy Grand, Pauline (Taft) Clenney, Karen Vernon (Colleen Clay); sisters, Lu Kershner and Jean Hayes; and 16 great-grand-children. She is preceded in death by her husband Jason E. Barton (1973).A funeral service will be held for Allie M. Barton on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1:00PM at Crossroads Community Church, 222 N. Euclid St., La Habra. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, February 15, 2012 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton. Donations may be made to Terrace View Care Center, 201 E. Bastanchury, Fullerton.
