Alicia G. Castro passed away on June 22, 2020 in Fullerton, California after a long struggle with her health. Born on December 20, 1936, Alicia was born in Penjamo, Guanajuato to her parents, Eduardo & Julia (Guerrero) Madrigal. She was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

While growing up in Penjamo, Mexico, Alicia attended primary school up to middle school. While her schooling my have ceased, her education and learning never stopped, as she grew in wisdom and spirit. After emigrating to the United States, she met Fausto Castro, and they were married in 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a homemaker throughout the course of her married life and together with Fausto, they resided in South Gate, California. She had the gift of hospitality and always invited everyone into her home with a smile and a delicious meal. She loved cooking and knew that she created strong family connections around the dinner table. When she wasn't caring for her family, she would occupy her time with gardening and dancing - these activities make her heart full. Alicia was also a very devout Catholic woman, being a member of St. Helen's Church in South Gate, California for many, many years.

Alicia is survived by her husband, Fausto Castro; her daughter and son-in-law, Lilia & Guillermo Vazquez; and grandchildren, Aiden & Ava Vazquez.

A Graveside Ceremony will be held for Alicia at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California, on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11am. Condolences to the family may be made at www.WhiteEmerson.com.
