Alice Escareno, 71, was born February 15, 1945, in Los Angeles to Edward and Julia Villanueva. She passed away on November 29, 2016, in Pico Rivera, leaving behind family and friends who will miss her and will cherish her memory.
Alice grew up in Los Angeles, where she attended Abraham Lincoln High School. In 1971, Alice married Ernest Escareno in Montebello and together they shared 45 wonderful years together. They eventually made their home in Pico Rivera, where Alice was a homemaker and, for a short time, a supervisor at Tokai Credit Corporation.
Alice enjoyed working on her home, shopping with her husband and spending time with family and friends. She was very active - belonging to the Womans Club and tailgating with her beloved UCLA friends. For many years she was a faithful parishioner at St. Hilarys Catholic Church where she developed many, deep relationships with her brothers and sisters in the faith.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest; two sons, Gerald Gutierrez and Ernest Escareno, Jr.; one daughter, Michelle Golden; brother, Joe Villanueva; sister, Mary Ann Hidalgo; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, and a great-grandson.
