Adam Patterson

Adam Patterson as born August 7, 1920 in Hocking, Iowa to William and Thomason Patterson. After a one-month stay in the hospital battling Leukemia, Pneumonia and Respiratory complications, Adam passed away at Presybterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, California on August 29, 2010. Adam was born in Hocking, Iowa and then moved to Chariton, Iowa were he finished High School.Following high school, Adam honorably served his country during World War II as 1st Lieutenant in the Army of The United States from June, 1943 to February, 1946. In 1942, Adam married Virginia Noftsger in Missouri. He was a loving husband for 68 years.Adam is survived by his wife, Virginia, and sisters, Jessie, Mae, Shirley and Margaret.Mr. Patterson settled in Whittier, California where he lived for over 40 years. He was a retired supervisor from Inco Battery holdings Inc. Adam and his wife were active members of Parnell Park Seniors Club and participated in weekly events, bingo and dinner socials. He loved to fish, camp and travel. He also enjoyed his weekly bingo nights at La Habra and Parnell Park Community Centers.Adam was a caring and wonderful person. He will be missed dearly.
